AWANA

Preschoolers - 6th graders meet weekly on Wednesday nights from 6:50 PM - 8:30 PM, the first Wednesday after Labor Day until May.

Children learn Bible Verses, play team games, and hear Bible stories. AWANA equips children to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The name AWANA is an acronym from 2 Timothy 2:15, “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.”

Cubbies is the preschool boy and girls group; Sparks is kindergarten, first and second grades; Truth and Training (T&T) is the club for third through sixth grade boys and girls.

Activites

Kids can earn points by participating in the theme of the week such as: Crazy Hair, Backwards, or Hawaiian Nights. Kids learn Bible verses at their own pace, earning AWANA dollars and awards to display on their uniform. At the end of the club each yeah children who complete books receive ribbons or plaques. With their AWANA dollars children can buy items such as: toys, candy, hats and shirts.

Awana Store

Each month the children are given a chance to spend their “Awana bucks” (earned by learning verses) at a “store.” Fun kid items are needed for this store and can be donated at any time in a box in the church’s main lobby.
